What is Network Care at the Vitality Center?

Network (Spinal Analysis) Care is an evidence based approach to wellness and body awareness. Gentle precise touch to the spine cues the brain to create new wellness promoting strategies. Two unique healing waves develop that are associated with spontaneous release of spinal and life tensions, and the use of existing tension as fuel for spinal re-organization and enhanced wellness. At the Vitality Center Network Care consists of:

  • Initial Intake and Spinal Analysis
Before getting on a table, it is important to take an inventory of your life: emotional background, health issues, family influence etc. During your initial consultation, you and Jane will review this vast array of information to draw potential conclusions about where and how you store pain in your body. Here we get a whole picture of who you are. After this initial intake, we will perform a spinal analysis and you will receive your first vitality care session.

Each session lasts on average 30 minutes depending on the level of care we are working that day. We apply very light and gentle touches to your spine and direct your attention and breathe into certain areas of the body. After your session you may sit and rest for a few minutes to further integrate the strategies.
  • Spinal Entrainments (Network adjustments)
After this initial intake, we will perform a spinal analysis and you will receive your first spinal entrainment (network adjustment). At the follow up visit we will check in with you and discuss the results of the previous visit as well as how care is delivered in the office. You will then receive a second entrainment. You will have the option to continue on Basic Network Care (Level 1) which has you develop the strategy of connecting and releasing tension accumulated in your body from past stresses and traumas. Each Network Entrainment session lasts 15-30 minutes depending on the level of care we are working that day. We apply very light and gentle touches to your spine and direct your attention and breathe into certain areas of the body. After your network session you may sit and rest for a few minutes to further integrate the strategies from the spinal entrainment.
  • Somato-Respiratory Integration Sessions
Somato Respiratory Integration (SRI) is an educational and bodywork system designed to advance the strategies created within the vitality care. Through breath, touch, movements and conversation, we facilitate peace, safety, and connection in the body. In addition to integrating SRI in the office during the entrainment sessions we offer ongoing workshops utilizing SRI purely on its own.
  • Educational Workshops
As early as possible in your care, we have you attend an introductory Workshop where we explain the principles of Network Spinal Analysis and Somato-Respiratory Integration. We recommend you purchase the following two books: Healing Myths, Healing Magic by Donald Epstein, and the Somato Respiratory Workbook. These books and other workshops will help to further explain the philosophy behind our care and help you get the most out of your journey with us.
  • Periodic Re-Evaluations and Advanced Care
Periodically we re-evaluate to assess if the body has learned Level 1 strategies. You may then decide that you have achieved your wellness goals, or you might wish to move on to Level 2 of care to further refine the wellness strategies you have developed.
